Every year, Tecnico, an authorized distributor on the South Shore of Montreal for Conforto and Granby Industries products, takes action that goes far beyond business. As part of its Pay It Forward program, the company is giving away a free product to a family in need. A simple initiative, but one that changes lives.

This year, Tecnico wanted to go even further by mobilizing a network of generous partners around the same cause. The result is a complete central heat pump system, installed and configured at no cost, offered to a local family in dire need.

A surge of collective solidarity

Tecnico took the initiative to bring together the right people, and the response was not long in coming.

Granby Industries, with its Conforto brand, provided the equipment free of charge. Chauffage SM and its team carried out the installation entirely at their own expense, without hesitating for a second. And Resideo/Honeywell, represented by Mr. Boudreau, completed the package by offering a latest-generation ElitePRO thermostat, to optimize the system for maximum comfort.

This is what we call a true partnership: everyone brings what they do best, at the service of those who need it most.

A family that deserved this helping hand

The targeted family was living with an outdated heating and cooling system that was long overdue. But the financial resources to deal with it were simply not available. And for good reason: this family devotes all of its energy and resources to taking care of a child with a disability, requiring constant care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Ensuring a healthy, comfortable and stable environment at home is not a luxury for them; it is a medical and vital necessity.

Companies rooted in their community

For Tecnico, SM Heating and Resideo/Honeywell, Granby Industries and Conforto, this collaboration reflects a shared belief that companies have a role to play in their community, beyond their business operations.

“When you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference in the life of a family, you don’t ask yourself any questions,” says Pierre Blain, Tecnico Heating, proudly.

A sincere thank you to all the partners of this great initiative:

Tecnico, SM Heating, Resideo/Honeywell and Mr. Boudreau; for your generosity and your unreserved commitment. We are proud to be part of this human and supportive network.
